Volunteer Cleanup on St. Croix Riverfront
There’s just something so rewarding about being outside and cleaning up our parks and waterways. A complimentary lunch is just the cherry on top!
Spend a morning on the beautiful St. Croix River near downtown Stillwater clearing an area that will become part of The Loop trail and park system. When the new river bridge is complete, a biking/walking trail will connect the new and historic bridges to trails and parks along the river in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Conservation Corps Minnesota youth crews will lead the volunteer event made possible by the Fred C. and Katherine B. Andersen Foundation and the Andersen Corporate Foundation, which also fund Summer Youth Corps participants and service projects in the St. Croix Valley area. Wear sturdy shoes and protective clothing. Conservation Corps will provide work gloves, eyewear and hand tools. Volunteers will be treated to a complimentary lunch following the project. To sign up to volunteer, contact Cindy Green at 651.209.9900 ext. 16 or cindy.green@conservationcorps.org.
