Social Science at the Science Museum of Minnesota
Come join us for Social Science, a brand new event at the Science Museum of Minnesota! On select Wednesdays from 7-11 p.m., our doors will be open (21+ only). You’ll have access to cash bars, food samplings, a DJ, film screenings, adult pictionary, presentations from local science groups, our very own Science Live theater, and much more! And of course, all of our galleries will be open for you to explore.
You must present a valid 21+ ID to gain entrance to the museum. $8 for Science Museum members and MPR members, $12 for nonmembers.
What’s going on for Social Science, March 30, 2011:
- King Tut on Level 4 (extra charge)
- Mummies in the Omnitheater (extra charge)
- DJ in the Lobby
- Interactive programs led by our Learning Technologies Center in the Lobby
- Live “Creatures of the Nile” in the Mississippi River Gallery, Level 5
- A classic screening of The Mummy (1932) in the Auditorium, Level 3
- Science Live Theater presentations on the Atrium Stage, Level 3
- An open photo booth linked to social media where you can snap photos with your friends and tell the world you were at the first ever Social Science
