REVIEW: Three Little Birds

Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds is the fun new reggae musical at the Children’s Theater Company, just when you need it the most. Set in sunny Jamaica, the adaptation of Cedella Marley’s book of the same name, has you feeling the tropical rhythms so deep, you’ll forget that it’s 10 below outside!

Ziggy is afraid to live his life until he gets dragged out on an adventure across the island with his best frenemy Nansi. Dodging Nansi’s pet spiders and the mischievous trickster Duppy, the pair learn a few valuable lessons, all under the guidance of the titular little birds and the timeless tunes of Jamaican icon, Bob Marley.

My daughter loved the colorful costumes and the giant spider that drops from the rafters, and picked up some fun new dance moves as well!  You’ll be certain to leave the theater tapping your toes and humming with newfound energy.

Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds runs January 19 through March 1 on the UnitedHealth Group Stage in Minneapolis and is recommended for everyone ages 5 and up. Ticket prices range from $15 through $66 (subject to change) with ACT Pass tickets for $5. For more information, visit us online at childrenstheatre.org or call the ticket office at 612.874.0400.
