REVIEW: 50 Shades of Gravy

To be honest, it’s usually extremely difficult for me to write reviews for Brave New Workshop shows.  They are always reliable and you know what you’re going to get.  You’re going to get a variety of sketch comedy skits performed by hilarious comedians that masterfully poke fun at pop culture and politics.  It’s virtually impossible to describe the sketches because you just have to be there to understand and each night things will vary just a bit, either due to a bit of improv or brilliant comedic timing.

That said, their newest production, 50 Shades of Gravy, is an outstanding production.  It’s my favorite production since Obama was up for reelection.  This show is smart, funny and definitely saucy.  I’ll note that it involves Bill Cosby reading 50 Shades of Gray excerpts, so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.  I’d say all Brave New Workshop show’s are not to be missed but this one in particular you really must see!
