Our Home: Native Minnesota
A wonderful exhibit called Our Home: Native Minnesota opened Saturday at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. The exhibit features historical maps and photos documenting the life of native peoples in Minnesota, as well as displays on their current life and vibrant culture. There is a lot to read, so if like me you like to read “all the things”, plan to spend about 45 minutes. Most displays are static (maps, photos, gorgeous art items such as clothing, pottery, games, and tools), but there are also several nice video and audio exhibits where native people talk about their experience with their history and culture.
DEAL ALERT: Admission to the Minnesota History Center is FREE every Tuesday evening after 5pm!
