MPLS Lantern Fest
Celebrate lighting the winter night in Downtown Minneapolis at the inaugural Mpls Lantern Fest!
The celebration is free and open to the public. It will include food, beverages and entertainment as well as giant, illuminated lantern puppets inspired by constellations—including a bear, rabbit, loon, fox and crow—providing artistic light and decorations. And you can be part of the fun! Build your own lantern, then showcase it as part of an illumination movement at Mpls Lantern Fest.
Stop by one of several workshops throughout Minneapolis to create your own lantern, then join us on February 21 to take part in a movement of light in Downtown Minneapolis! In the Heart of the Beast teaching artists will lead these workshops, which are free and open to all ages and abilities. Learn to make a simple lantern, then pick it up on February 21 at Mpls Lantern Fest.
