I can has arts? Meme how you may, but there’s no denying that LOL CATZ reigns supreme. And Friday at Anthem Heart’s Q.arma Building studio, there’ll be a show to prove it. Ever wonder why, in terms of iconography, cats have always been admired for their beauty and stoicism, but in modern media culture, they’re regarded as cute little neurotic balls of fluff? Exploring the satire and kitch of internet phenomena, more than 30 local artists have interpreted the LOL CATZ vernacular in their own style and medium.
