Mall of America turns 20 – and serves up treats

20 years ago, the Mall of America was born.  On Saturday, August 11, 2012,  the Mall is celebrating  with a custom-made cake by Buddy Valastro, the “Cake Boss.”  Cake will be served up at 2pm.

The  Mall of America will also be handing out 20 different items, 500 of each item, to guests on August 11. The prizes will be handed out in various locations around the Mall every 20 minutes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  These prize items will include aromatherapy samples, $10 Crave restaurant gift cards, $10 Twin Cities Grill gift cards, Lindt chocolate truffles, mini Cinnabons, Caribou Coffee drinks, and See’s candy and more.
