The story follows Victoria, a young businesswoman, who accepts a loan from a North Dakota gangster. When her Williston business fails, she flees under the cover of darkness back to her hometown of Duluth, MN. After a reunion with her wealthy biological father, he meets an untimely demise. An investigation follows led by the clever Detective Rennie Dupree (played by Larry Yazzie) and his rookie partner Officer Mark Sorenson. Victoria must decide between joining the gangster or face incriminating evidence linking her to the murder.
