Displaced Hindu Gods
A festival of three world premieres based on the trinity of Hindu deities- Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva- each displaced into the contemporary Western world. This theatrical marathon features a variety of styles: a stand-up comedy routine, a girl-gang thriller, and a post-colonial fantasy. While each play stands alone, they co-exist in a common universe where displacement, identity, immigration, and puberty are explored through the lenses of creation, survival, and destruction.
The three shows are cast with seven actors (some in multiple roles), designed by one team, and can be seen singly on week nights or as a marathon on Saturdays and Sundays in a never-before-seen configuration of the Alan Page Auditorium. Food and beverages (both alcoholic and non) will be available for purchase at the theatre throughout the entire run.
Tickets are available for FREE via Mixed Blood’s Radical Hospitality program. This program will not guarantee you seats, however, click here to guarantee admission to ‘Displaced Hindu Gods’ by purchasing tickets in advance ($20).
