Crashed Ice 2017

The capital of Minnesota hosts the third event of the season on the frozen banks of the Mississippi River on February 3-4, 2017. For the past five freezing-cold winters, Saint Paul has hosted the ice cross downhill competition, with a huge crowd of more than 100,000 people converging under the gaze of the imposing Cathedral of Saint Paul to witness the high-speed action that features skaters competing in four-man heats in a race to the bottom of a long ice track filled with obstacles.

Ice Cross Downhill, known to many as the fastest sport on skates, is a combination of hockey, boarder cross, and downhill skiing. It’s challenging, fast, cold, hard, unique and action packed.

The event is free and open to the public!
