Bella Naughty Recap
Last night, we attended Bella Naughty at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. This event was inspired by venetian carnival and celebrated the opening of “Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland.” I had never been to an event at MIA before so I had no idea what to expect. As you entered the building they had opera music blaring through the speakers, the museum was largely dark and there were costumed performers (see below). I was instantly excited for what the night would hold for us. As we walked upstairs to the event, the music turned into club/dance music and the lighting resembled the same. Clear lucite tables and chairs were set up through the gallery hallway with bars set up as well. At the end of the hall was the art Exhibit and we decided to start here. We both really enjoyed the Exhibit, which includes Venetian paintings and sketches. After visiting the Exhibit, we had a cocktail and enjoyed watching people come and go. The vast majority of the crowd dressed up for the event and, at a minimum, wore an elaborate mask. Simply watching the attendees was an art exhibit in itself. All-in-all, it was a great night!
