Get ready to throw your own Cinco de Mayo party with this inexpensive cooking class from Byerly’s!
Originally commemorating Mexico’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War, Cinco de Mayo (fifth of May) evolved into a Mexican cultural celebration. Culinary Shop Manager Joan Donatelle showcases Mexican regional cuisine in a pre-holiday fiesta featuring Melissa’s Produce, purveyor of exotic fresh fruits and vegetables. Featured recipes include: Tropical Margaritas, Nopales (cactus) Salad, Fish Tacos and Flan.
